Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County builds safe, decent, affordable houses for low-income families. These homes are sold to qualifying families through an affordable mortgage, providing a hand up, not a hand out. Habitat homeowners gain self-respect as they work alongside volunteers to construct their homes. As a local non-profit organization, we rely on members of our community to help build homes through volunteerism and individual and business donations.
Please help us provide more homes for our neighbors in need. Donate or volunteer today.
every hand
can help families build strength, stability, and independence
We appreciate the dedicated community members, such as you, who have a desire to partner with us in our efforts to provide safe, decent and affordable housing; as well as offer low cost building materials, furniture, and appliances through our ReStores.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we are temporarily modifying our volunteer policies. We are only accepting ReStore and office volunteers willing to commit to 8 hours or more per month. Construction volunteers are asked to commit to the duration of a project, typically several days over one to four weeks.
every employee
can make a difference in our community
At Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County (HFHLC) we are part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that works to eliminate substandard housing locally and worldwide and provide affordable homeownership opportunities for low-income households. We do this through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
By becoming a Habitat employee, you’ll join a collaborative, team-based organization. It’s the perfect way to use your skills and experience to directly help the members of our community looking for a hand up, not a hand out.
